Paediatric First Aid Annual Refresher Course
Accredited Paediatric First Aid Refresher Training Course

- Three Hour Course
- Recommended annually until paediatric first aid re-qualification training is required
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework states that early years providers should consider whether paediatric first aiders need to undertake annual refresher training to maintain basic key skills and keep up to date with any changes to paediatric first aid procedures.
The Paediatric First Aid Annual Refresher (QAR) qualification has been specifically designed to allow qualified paediatric first aiders to refresh their knowledge and practise essential paediatric first aid skills every year until re-qualification training is required.
Successful candidates will leave the course with a renewed confidence having practised essential paediatric first aid procedures, such as performing CPR, dealing with a choking casualty and much more.

It’s essential that adequate provision for first aid cover is made at all times people are at work. Employers need to ensure there is cover for annual leave and other planned absences of first-aiders or appointed persons. They should also consider what cover is needed for unplanned and exceptional absences such as sick leave or special leave due to bereavement.
